Childbirth Education

As a doula, I believe in a holistic approach to childbirth that focuses on the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of both mother and baby. However, I know that everyone desires a birth with their own unique preferences and that may not fall under the holistic umbrella. I also take into consideration the changes or complications that can occur in pregnancy or with their baby that cause women to have to pivot and perhaps change their birth plan extensively. I like to equip families with different needs with ultimately with the knowledge of physiological birth with natural pain relief options and positions, but also with thorough understanding of medications for pain, induction, the process of a c-section, and more. Whether or not those situations apply to you, I want you to know about them. If there's one thing that The Lord has shown me in the particular births that I have attended is that we should have faith in God for the birth we desire, and can still always be ready for the unexpected and unplanned. For private classes I provide personalized education that is tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each family. This typically looks like three in-home  60-90 min classes with the allowance of access to my lending library and labor tools upon availability! I also make myself available for questions via phone calls, text, and email, similar to my doula clients.
