Birth Services

Complimentary consultation to see if I am the right doula for you! You can reach out to me here through my website, email, text, phone call, or Instagram. We set up a little meetup, usually at a coffee shop, and we chat about what I offer and what you're looking for in a doula or ask the questions you may have. This can also be done through FaceTime or Zoom if necessary.

Ideally 3 visits up to 90 minutes each. These will be customized to meet your needs. During prenatal visits we'll get to know each other better and go over your intake form. We can discuss previous pregnancy/birth experiences, talk about any fears surrounding birth, look into birth location options, create your birth plan, go over childbirth education, and anything you would like more information about. We can practice a variety of labor and birth positions, helpful breathing techniques, & more!

Unlimited phone/text/email support throughout pregnancy.

Whatever we don't cover during prenatal visits allows for plenty of resources to be shared in between! I love sending short informational videos, bite sized articles from Evidence Based Birth, and other links to help you feel as prepared as possible. Clients often text me with questions that pop into their head. I share the risks and benefits of interventions or scenarios, and encourage them to make their own informed decisions.

You may borrow a wide array of books or DVDs from my personal library on the topics of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, VBAC, postpartum, spiritual growth, parenting, newborn care, marriage, and more.

I will be on-call 24/7 starting at 38 weeks gestation until you give birth. 

Continuous support in-person during active labor (4-1-1 contractions). I can help you labor at home as long as possible, and/or meet you at the hospital or birth center if you aren’t delivering at home. I will be there to support you and your partner in a variety of ways via natural comfort measures, and I’ll be there to nurture and encourage you throughout the process. I will support your birth plan throughout and stay with you up to around 1-2 hours after the birth of your baby.

Essential oil use during labor if desired. You may browse and sample from my personal Eden's Garden collection. I have a diffuser I bring and can also create custom rollerballs and mists for you to use during labor as well. 

I have a rebozo, labor combs, massage rollers, a CUB inflatable birth stool, twinkle light clips to hold my custom birth affirmation cards, starry Northern Lights ceiling projector, LED tea light candles, a portable Bose Bluetooth speaker to play your music or my signature birth playlist, etc., all at your request to help set the atmosphere of your birth space and naturally comfort you during labor.

I'm no professional, but I know my way around a good portrait mode photo and a tasteful, heartfelt video moment. I'm happy to take plenty of photos of you in labor, and when you meet your baby if you would like! 

I will remain in touch with you via text during your postpartum, checking in around 24 and 48 hours after birth. At about 1 week postpartum I will come for an hour or so to check in on you! I will be a listening ear as you reminisce and process your birth, and as you share about how your emotional, physical, spiritual wellbeing is. I can assist with basic breastfeeding needs, newborn care, and give you any resources you need for referrals to IBCLCs or pelvic floor specialists, etc.

If you want encouragement throughout your pregnancy, during your labor, and postpartum by the covering of prayer and scripture, I believe a big part of what I do can involve this if you'd like! We often need Godly encouragement, the presence of Holy Spirit, and a touch from Jesus during the most vulnerable, soul-changing moments of our lives! Birth is spiritual!

One of the reasons I didn't hire a doula for myself was because I didn't want to spend THAT much money- I didn't know the true value of a doula yet! I realized afterwards that I was really missing some extra support and help advocating. Maybe that's you, or maybe you already know doulas are worth every penny but just can't quite afford it. Please reach out to me- I am more than willing to work out a payment plan spread out to work for your budget so you don't have to go without extra support!
