I'm the face behind Well-Watered Doula and I am honored you're here to visit! I'm married to my high school sweetheart and we have two sons. We got married at 19 and 20 years old and the United States Air Force moved us to Mississippi for a handful of years until we moved back to where we met and grew up in our home area of the Central Coast of California in 2017. I am a birth doula, childbirth educator, and soon-to-be postpartum & lactation doula. I love anything that allows me to be creative that I can pour my heart and soul into. My passions are singing, leading worship, music, decorating everything, finding the beauty and redemptive qualities in all things, and community. I carry deep empathy for others and have a strong passion for justice. I believe in inviting God into every area of life (especially birth) and I believe He put a desire and gifting to serve in my heart from a very young age. I have a heart for cultivating deep, meaningful friendships with others. Truly, one of my favorite things to do is to share a meal with friends, champion each other, and laugh and walk through life together. Pregnancy, birth, babies, and breastfeeding have had me captivated since I was a child, and I feel so blessed to have witnessed all of it several times at a young age. I felt The Lord recently invite me to marry the two passions of serving and birth together, and so Well-Watered Doula was born! First and foremost as a doula, the mother-baby connection is my priority in the way I serve. It is 100% my bias that birth best unfolds with the least intervention as possible for most women, but even in the cases where intervention is needed I want women educated that their first moments with their baby have a lifelong impact on both of them, and fostering connection right away is something of utmost importance.
The Lord will satisfy you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
I'm happy to serve between the areas of Lompoc and San Luis Obispo for home births, birth center births, and hospital births! I can serve limited women outside this range for an additional travel fee. I'd love to meet you and listen to what you're envisioning for the birth of your new baby. I'm happy to meet you for coffee at your favorite place, or even a FaceTime or Zoom call for a free consultation to see if I'm the addition to your birth team you're looking for.
